New Title Insurance Policy Endorsements.

Dakota Homestead Title Insurance Company has issued all new Title Insurance Policy Endorsements. 

The new Endorsements are based on the most current endorsements published by The American Land Title Association (ALTA).   Additionally there are several Dakota Homestead Endorsements that are specific only to Dakota Homestead.


These new endorsements replace all of the previously issued Dakota Homestead Policy Endorsements.  And, the rate for some of these Endorsements has changed.  With some Endorsement rates decreasing and some increasing.  When issuing policies please review the new pricing to insure that you are properly quoting the cost of the Endorsement.   

The Paperless Policy System has been modified to properly calculate the new Endorsement charges.  You will see in the Endorsement area that there are Endorsements with an "*" in front of the description.  These are all of the new Endorsements and the new rates.  The old Endorsements are still listed for all of the policies that you have quoted in the past.  They are listed below the new Endorsements and you can reach them by simply scowling down further in the list.

If you use Softpro you will need to set up the new Endorsements that you will be using within the Softpro System.  We recommend setting up the Endorsements that you have used in the last 12 months.  If another Endorsement is needed you can simply add it when you need it.  Give the Softpro technical support department a call if you need help setting them up.  Their number is 800-848-0143.

Access to the new Endorsements is available on dakotahomestead.com in the Agent Services area of the web site.  From there you can access, view and print any of the new Endorsements.  And along with the new endorsements are the associated Issuing Guidelines, ALTA Endorsement number designation, CLTA cross reference and pricing.

When you highlight the Endorsement menu a drop down list will appear which shows you the categories of the endorsements.








The ALTA Endorsements are first in the list










followed by the Dakota Homestead Endorsements.

Also for any endorsement you can select the Issuing Guidelines by selecting the appropriate number with the GL behind it.








All of these Endorsements are in force today and these Endorsements and their applicable rates should be used.
